On December 3rd, International Day of Persons with Disabilities , the composer, singer and woman in a wheelchair, Amanda Lyra, releases “Sem Reclamar”, a song that criticizes the able-bodied view of people without disabilities towards the diversity of bodies that exist. The song is accompanied by the artist's first music video, an accessible audiovisual production, with a cast composed only of people with disabilities in a place of prominence and prominence.
“It is a gift for the next generations of people with disabilities who will be able to occupy places that until then were not designed for them. The idea is to dismantle the sad and welfare stereotype that society has nurtured for so long as the standard representation of people with disabilities” , comments the composer.
The script brings people with disabilities to a place where they are not used to being recognized: being protagonists in the interpretation of roles that represent them as they are. “I felt very good occupying a space that I never imagined could be mine” , reports psychology student Tauani Vieira, who appears in front of the mirror, putting on makeup.

The entire musical communication in the video was designed by a team of people with disabilities to contemplate the different languages of access to music and its meaning. For those who cannot see with their eyes, there will be a second version of the clip with audio description, which will also make it possible to reproduce the work in a podcast. This script and the lyrics of the song will be made available in text, so that deaf-blind people can access the content through a page accessible for navigation with a braille display.
In addition to the Libras window, another feature for deaf and low-vision people is the subtitle style, dynamic and colorful, to be followed like karaoke, in high contrast and at a speed designed to facilitate understanding by neurodiverse people — and also the neurotypical ones.
“Sem Reclamar” is a protest clip and breaks the cycle of lack of access, making resources available for everyone to enjoy. During the recordings, interviews were conducted with the cast and accessibility team, addressing their experiences and perspectives on inclusion, representativeness and access. Soon more information about the documentary.
In addition to casting 100% of people with disabilities, the entire project team is made up of women.
