What the fuck is this?

We don't even need to say that the world is upside down. Life always hits us hard, and it's hard to pretend that, from time to time, we don't feel like running away. The only way is to make a fuss. Peita is a tool for confronting and fighting against daily oppression. And it's not about self-esteem, it's a collective struggle, the transformation that together we bring about in society.

Our idea was to bring the slogans of the protests to the streets on ordinary days, with the message as the protagonist, displaying what we believe in. Like a traveling poster, we want to challenge the other side of the force in a public declaration of what we stand for and why we get out of bed every day. But we can't do this alone; it's only possible because there are many of us and we stand up together.

We don't sell feminism.
We are feminists who sell t-shirts.

Peita was born on March 8, 2017, with the phrase “Fight like a girl” taking over the streets of Curitiba during the International Women’s Day demonstrations. The idea is to generate dialogue on still thorny issues. Created by designer Karina Gallon, 70% of the prints are partnerships with movements, institutions and social projects, women who are activists and/or companies that are committed to fighting oppression.

The discussion about feminism reaches other spaces when we put on our bra and go to the streets. It goes beyond theory to include everyone. To talk to those who do not feel the movement is theirs, to question feminism restricted to privileged spaces. And to do this, we have to change the relationships between women and enter a process of solidarity and awareness that includes the lives that are on the margins.

Competitiveness, jealousy and all these bad feelings are the means that the patriarchy needs to prevent us from staying together and organized. We defend the fight for female protagonism in society. ALWAYS.

New plans are born from a new language.

Come with us and make this world turn in the right direction. Towards a place where everyone understands each other, respects each other and accepts living with the plurality of human beings that exist. Who knows, maybe then we won't need to run away to anywhere anymore.

We continue in a process of daily self-criticism to deconstruct racism, sexism, colonialism, LGBTphobia, xenophobia, ableism, fascism, discrimination and prejudice.

We continue to face it.
