Of the 11 teams, 4 compete for the cup in the shape of breasts. The award will be after the games with Samba de Saia
Sunday, November 25th, the final of the first Futsal Women's Amateur Cup by PEITA and Coletivo Cássia (the LB arm of the Dignidade Group) takes place. Of the 11 registered teams, four will compete in the semifinals and final. The concentration starts at 2:00 pm with a quick evaluation of the previous games and then, at 2:30 pm, the cup dispute in the shape of breasts, developed by the artist, Lana Julia, begins. The awards will be given right after the end of the games, at 5:30 pm, at Espaço 37, with a presentation by Samba de Saia.
The Women's Futsal Cup had two other stages: one in September and another in October. The 11 teams, with about 10 women in each, were divided into two keys. It was possible to register the team or as a solo participant, in this option the team was formed before the first game. The cost of registration, R$5 per person, was used to pay for the court, referees and the cup. The entire organization of the championship was carried out by and for women.
PUTAÇA was created by the artist Lana Júlia, in the shape of a beautiful pair of plaster breasts. The award model was musician Naíra Debértolis, from the band Mulamba. The winning team of the first edition will be able to choose one of the players to be the softie of the breasts of the cup of the next edition. In addition to the cup, the first three places and the top scorer will receive medals in the shape of nipples.
Regarding the choice of the format and name of the award, the president of PEITA, Karina Gallon explains that “our goal in each new sentence is to disturb machismo, provoke the system and be a trigger for discussions that build us up. In our events it couldn't be different. We didn't want a men's championship, where they "let" us play. We wanted a championship that was entirely our own.” The name of the tournament came from the partnership of Puta Peita + Mulamba, with their song PUTA, which talks about the objectification of bodies and how women are vulnerable when leaving home every day.
The idea for the Cup came after the “Solidary Football PEITA x MULAMBA” held at the end of June for the launch of the T-shirt and socks with the phrase 'Jogue Como Uma Garota'. The event, which intended to divide 21 women into three teams - PEITA, Mulamba and Coletivo Cássia - had 90 registered at the time. Hygiene items and warm clothing were also collected and donated to homeless women.
