I've been working as a Body Psychologist for 4 years and I found out that I'm good at listening and providing a healing space for people, especially women who are now the main audience in my office. Statistically women seek therapy more than men, the reasons are many. Another time I explain better.
The fact is that realizing this, added to my work as a Doula - the woman who gives emotional support to another woman during labor - and my involvement as an interviewer of women in the PEITA documentary project, I realized that it was time to focus my energy in them, in women.
This healing space that we find with each other is millennia old. It is no wonder that when we got together to produce medicine, we were burned at the stake during the Middle Ages. Together we are powerful, overwhelming, relentless! Despite that or because of that, current reality pushes us forward with the same force that strikes us back. But we keep resisting, together, in relationships, in motherhood, at work, we keep learning and understanding more and more that we have a space to be taken.
The female listening, welcoming and support has brought me many results inside the clinic as a therapist and outside, as a woman. In exchange with women I learn a lot of what I am and a lot of what I want to be. The admiration I develop every day for all who accompany and guide me from childhood until today. It is with them and through them that I evolve.
Thus was born the idea of a workshop aimed at women. A meeting space for healing, for emotional maturity. To heal the wounds and also share the joys. There will be 16 meetings, on Wednesdays from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm, at Casa Quatro Ventos, from September 5th to December 16th.
