From September 7th to 11th, the 2nd March of Indigenous Women of Brazil will take place. This year's motto is ORIGINAL WOMEN: REFLORESTING MINDS TO HEAL THE EARTH . Peita, together with chief Juliana Kerexu , from the Tekoa Takuaty village, União Amazônia Viva and Projeto Origin , teamed up to make it possible for indigenous women from Paraná to travel and stay in Brasília.
There will be two actions, the first is the production of the phrase Fight like a girl in Guarani - Nhanembaraete xondaria kuery - and in Kanhgág - Tyãg fi vãsãn rike han - with the print in red. The T-shirts will be sold at the Indigenous Women's Camp and March by two leaders from Paraná: chief Ju Kerexu and university student, artisan and activist, Camila MīgSá , from the Kakané Porã village. The protest brand sold the T-shirts at cost to the voluntary movement União Amazônia Viva, which donated them and, therefore, all profits will be reverted to the indigenous resistance in the Federal District.
The second action is the launch of 'Fight like an indigenous woman.' by Peita . Part of the profit collected during the month of September will be used to organize the trip of indigenous women to Brasília. The pre-sale of this chest is already available on the website .
The struggle is not just to preserve the lives of indigenous peoples, but of all humanity. It is the indigenous people who act directly in the protection and survival of the environment. Women, with their ancestral knowledge, are guardians of seeds, of life.
( • ) about the gait

The call of the 2nd March of Indigenous Women is for the fight to defend the lives of women in the forests, waters and mountains and against the genocide that the government of #ForaBolsonaro and its supporters impose on the indigenous population with Bill 2.633/20 , also known as PL da Grilagem, and PL 490/2007, Marco Temporal, which aims to allow the exploitation and destruction of indigenous territories by agribusiness, mining and infrastructure initiatives.
#MarcoTemporalIt is not the colonizing idea that a land can only be demarcated as indigenous if the presence of peoples is proven in October 1988. More than six thousand people are in Brasília fighting against the invasion of their lands. The Articulação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil (Apib) started the Fight for Life camp, in Brasília, on August 22nd.
Brazil currently has 421 homologated indigenous lands, where around 466,000 people live. There are 303 pending requests pending presidential goodwill. There are 191,000 indigenous people with uncertain futures.
