MARIELE PRESENTE por Nelly Amaral

MARIELE PRESENT by Nelly Amaral

the poor black dies
in a negligence abortion!
The fat woman is induced to commit suicide
By a fatphobic broken into!
The whore is queen in the bedroom,
But on the street, she is treated like an animal!
The worker does a double shift
But so much on the trampoline
how much at home
It is treated like garbage!
If the favela steals from
Pharmacy or market
Get years and years of false imprisonment!
Split unhealthy cell with mana in labor!
He shares his bed, his bread,
shares your mattress with rats!
The system is rotten, dirty and corrupt!
Who dares to meet
is removed from the scene for stupid crimes!
In politics we have no time, voice or space,
And when we get there we are silenced with a bludger!
1, 2, 3, 4 shots took the life of a black woman who fought for equality!
They shot without pity or mercy!
Simply because it wasn't a robbery or a mistake!
Those bullets were part of a
big plan.
And how many Marielles and Claudias were silenced on the sidewalk, on the sly?
How many had their childhood stolen as a girl?
The cause is legitimate, when out of 10 mines, 7 have already been victims!
I'm here to challenge the system!
Even though they are human, showing the square root of the problem!
We are opposites that attract,
We are the sword and the samurai,
Underrated, but stubborn,
we are in the spotlight!
Marielle Franco was the fight
and we are the resistance!

Poem recited by Nelly Amaral, the "Diva Ganjah", during the 1st Slam of the Alferes Poeta, as the battle between poets and poets from the Parolin community was baptized. Nelly was one of the three finalists and won a #putapeita "Fight Like A Girl". We were able to provide the award, thanks to our partnership with USINA de Idéias.

"I have my own poetic vision of the world, my look reflects the daily life of the Brazilian peripheral woman. My songs and poems need to speak to the soul and heart of those who feel them." - Diva Ganjah.
