PEITA lança Não Existe Luta Sozinha.

PEITA launches No Fight Alone.

PEITA celebrated its two years of confrontation with the launch of the phrase There Is No Such Thing as Fighting Alone and the screening of the mini-doc that tells the story of the protest brand: There Is No Such Thing as Fighting Alone: the doc , produced by students of the Advertising and Propaganda course at Universidade Positivo.

In keeping with its commitment to forming partnerships that lift up other women, during the first year of the slogan, for every 50 t-shirts sold on the protest brand's website, the profits from 10 t-shirts were donated to a social institution of the students' choice. 70% of Peita's slogans are partnerships with institutions and social movements, women in activism and companies committed to fighting oppression.

In 2017, we took to the streets on March 8th with the first Fight Like a Girl. We didn’t even have a name, but we already knew what we wanted. The message has to be passed on in a way that makes sense to people’s real lives, simple and direct. Peita was created for this and seeing how much it impacts people’s lives is encouraging for us ,” says the brand’s owner and creator, Karina Gallon.

( • ) IS THERE A FIGHT ALONE?

after the no it's all harassment

Encouraging debate about feminism and struggles, Karina Gallon and filmmaker Leticia Futata, from Hai Studio, produced videos with testimonials from women who participated, together with the owner of Peita, in the Summer Course of Politics for.de.for Women at the Federal University of Paraná. The reports began to be published on social media on March 8, the day that marks the beginning of the brand.

For Karina, giving a voice to diverse women is essential for the feminist struggle. “ Empowerment is the transformation that we bring about together in society, when we break the structures of oppression and when we consider class, gender and race. These are complex social and political problems that can only be faced with continuous struggle, inside and outside the institutions of power. That is what feminism represents.

( • ) THERE IS NO FIGHT ALONE: the doc

The phrase inspired by the quote from public relations, member of Coletivo Cássia and head of operations at Peita, Thatiana Tucci, gave the documentary its name. “ I am very happy to have inspired the 'There is no such thing as a fight alone' and for this phrase to have become a Peita, because it is immensely important for women to understand that only together can we achieve success and that together each one's battles become much easier. We (Coletivo Cássia - Eu Estou Com Ela ) have never been as strong as after the countless partnerships we have formed over the past year and a half as a collective and Peita is certainly the strongest of them all ”, says Thati.
