Respecting and understanding the need for the new decree of the City of Curitiba , which instituted and postponed the lockdown and red flag, until March 28th (which may be extended) our face-to-face activities are suspended. The health system across the country is on the verge of collapse and, in our city alone, 99% of SUS ICU beds are occupied.
We need to understand that we are part of the transmission of the virus and we must take all reasonable measures to prevent its spread. Unfortunately, not all people can afford to stay at home, many because they are on the front lines of health and care (thank you!), and many others who don't want to see their families go hungry, without emergency aid or any public policy that supports and welcomes them. According to the IBGE , more than 10 million have nothing to eat and that number could reach 20 million in 2021.
