PEITA produces t-shirts for the Coletivo Igualdade Menstrual campaign

For the first time in its history, PEITA signs the production of a creation that is not its own. The Menstrual Equality campaign inaugurates the new support format. The project from Curitiba, which encourages debate and documentation on the impacts of menstrual poverty on the lives of people with a uterus, is selling T-shirts with five print options developed by illustrator Dayanne Marrie. Part of the proceeds will be used for the production of a documentary about the reality of those who do not have access to hygiene and basic sanitation items in Paraná. Menstrual collection methods will also be donated to vulnerable participants.

The creator and director of Coletivo Igualdade Menstrual, Adriana Bukowski, explains that the campaign's proposal is “to present and encourage the use of reusable and sustainable alternatives that can provide more dignity and autonomy, especially for menstrual cups. During our journey, we will take menstrual education to adolescents and people who menstruate, contributing to the construction of a fairer and more democratic society. We believe that education is freedom.”

The creator and CEO of PEITA, Karina Gallon, says that this type of support is a kind of 'PEITA certification of quality'. “We partner with projects that also make sense for the impact we want to have on society. Towards the fall of patriarchy fighting, creating alternatives and generating possibilities for ours”, he points out. The t-shirts are made from 100% organic cotton, with 30-weight combed and agender yarn. Read more about product features here.

And if you currently don't have the money to invest in a t-shirt, help the project by answering and sharing the form about habits and information you received about menstrual education. The data will be tabulated for the production of the documentary and will also serve as a popular force base for bills that are already being discussed and presented in the city of Curitiba and Paraná.
