Puta Peita e a invasão feminista no Psicodália

Puta Peita and the feminist invasion of Psicodália

We were absent for a few days, but it was for an absurdly aggrandizing reason. We took our little shop to the first Psicodália that had bands composed only by women: Mulamba and Ema Stoned. The emotion of seeing and hearing mines singing our concerns and struggles awakened thousands. The screams were deafening and energizing. WHAT WAS THIS SHOW?! What did that sea of women invading the stage 'cos' chest out in Mulamba's encore mean? What was the relevance of that?

Breasts out is sovereignty over one's own body, it is to claim the right over it, to use it as you wish, including to protest; being able to see yourself however you want and not be a victim of it; to feel satisfied with herself in the way that suits her. By doing this, we want to make it clear that our bodies are not objects, our breasts are not here for the pleasure of male assholes and we shouldn't be sexualized unless we want to. By showing the breasts, we take the tools of the oppressor. We respect the meaning of whore, bitch, odd job and disarm anyone who offends us with a “in your concept or mine?”. We take back our bodies to say what he doesn't want to hear: this is mine and I want it back!

We have the right to decide our own value judgment and our opinion is only valid when we accept each one as a free being to value himself.
It is impossible to describe the emotion that came with singing, looking into the eye of the sister who was next to her: “if you go to get flour with the women, you can be beaten. You'll remember when I look down on you." We are at the top. The revolution is feminist!

Thank you to everyone who fought sexism with our all-types! It was beautiful to see Psicodália full of WHORES and claims of 'My Body Is Political' and 'After It's Not All Harassment'. Our message was clear, sisters: Together we are stronger!

And that's not all, Rádio Kombi's program “Escuta as Minas” brought countless incredible singers over the five days of the festival and even discussed 8M, the Marcha das Mulheres Trabalhadoras. Representatives from Paraná and Santa Catarina told why they stop and invited everyone to be part of the confrontation that will be worldwide.
