If together they already cause, imagine together.
PEITA ,
Casa Nem ,
Olhar Distribuição , Studio Riff joined forces to give visibility to the fight for the citizenship rights of trans and transvestites. 'My body is political' is the title of the documentary by director Alice Riff, which became a PEITA to boost the release of the film. In addition to the partnership with the filmmaker, for every 50 briskets sold in the colors of the trans flag (blue, pink and white), 10 were donated to Casa Nem, an
LGBTI+ space in social vulnerability.
The film deals with the daily life of four LGBT activists who live on the outskirts of São Paulo. From the intimacy and social context of the characters, the documentary raises contemporary questions about the trans population and their political disputes.
Alice Riff, director of Meu Corpo é Político, emphasizes the importance of the partnership to strengthen the protest brand, the independent film and, even more, the struggle of trans and transvestites. “Two forces came together so that we could reach more people and pass on our message. Peita publicized the film and the film publicized the brand. And the coolest thing is that the partnership also brought Casa Nem together. It was a super important joint action for the message to reach more people”, comments Alice.

My Body is Political is available for public viewing through Videocamp. Entering the platform, it is necessary to register as an educator, NGO or company, click on 'Organize your Exhibition' and fill out the form. Finally, the site asks for the number of spectators (at least five people), a photo and a brief report on what happened at the event. The objective is to provoke debates and encourage the meeting of people engaged in creating a better world.
